How to make inventory labels
Tag computers, tools, furniture and stock with numbered labels. Use {{#}} anywhere in the label and every label gets the next number: ASSET-0001, ASSET-0002 and so on.
Each tag can carry a QR code or barcode with the same number, so items can be checked in and out with any phone or scanner.
Tips
- Set the starting number to continue from your last batch.
- Choose the number of digits to keep codes the same length (0001, 0002…).
- For metal or outdoor equipment, print on weatherproof or polyester label sheets.
Frequently asked questions
How does automatic numbering work?
Write {{#}} in any text, barcode or QR code. It is replaced by the label number, starting from the number you choose, padded with zeros to the number of digits you set.
Can I continue numbering from a previous batch?
Yes. Set "Start at" to the next free number, for example 101.
Can I use a partially used sheet?
Yes. Set "Skip the first labels" to the number of labels already used and printing starts at the next free position.
